Burkina Faso names Colonel Isaac Zida as Prime Minister

The Burkina Faso’s interim
government has finally appointed a soldier as the countries new prime minister. He's Lieutenant Colonel Isaac Zida a soldier best described as a large bestacled man with a trademark red beret.
This was done yesterday, exactly four days after he was forced by the African Union (AU) to restore the country’s constitution. Colonel Zida will work with Michel Kafando- the interim president to appoint a 25 member government to see to elections in 2015.

You could recall that on Nov. 1, after a mass protest toppled the government of president Blaise Compaore, Colonel Zida declared himself head of state.

Former president Compaore has since fled the country. Meanwhile The African Union ( AU) had given Zida two weeks to
restore civilian rule or face economic sanctions.

Hope he will not toe the lines of other African military leaders who hates vacating their seats?
