47 Students killed today at Government comprehensive secondary school, Potiskum, Yobe, by a Suicide bomber

About 47 school children were killed today while 79 others sustained various degrees of injuries today Monday 10 after a suspected Boko
Haram suicide bomber attacked
students of Senior Science Secondary School, Potiskum, Yobe state.

An eyewitness who confirmed the incident said the sight was too horrific to behold as the school compound was littered with body parts of these children who were waiting to be addressed by the school principal before the suicide bomber who probably may have worn same uniform with the students been and finally blew them up in pieces.

Another survivor, Musa Ibrahim Yahaya, who spoke to the AP news agency from his hospital bed, while receiving treatment for head injuries said:
“We were waiting for the principal to address us, around 7:30 a.m., when we heard a deafening sound and I was blown off my feet, people started screaming and running, I saw blood all over my body.”

A hospital staff in where some of the victims were been treated told an AFP reporter that he counted 48 corpses and other injured victims of the blast who may need amputations and other surgical procedures but claimed their major challenge was space accommodate all.

The Nigeria Police spokesman Emmanuel Ojukwu confirmed the incident and gave the casualty figures.
