Bauchi Explosion update: 13 Dead, 65 injured in the Suicide bomb Attack.

A total of 13 people has been confirmed dead in the bomb explosion that occurred yesterday in Azare Bauchi state.
The attack was said to be carried out by a suicide bomber suspected to be a member of the Boko Haram sect.
The Bauchi state Police Public Relations Officer, Haruna Mohammed, said the explosion occurred at about 5:20pm on Sunday at the popular Jagwal market in Azare.

The statement reads: “On the 16/11/2014 at about 5:20pm, there was bomb explosion at Jagwal Market in Azare town. The scene was visited and cordoned off by Police explosive ordinance disposal unit, while casualties have been evacuated to the Federal Medical center Azare for medical attention.
“So far, 13 persons were confirmed dead while 65 others sustained various degrees of injuries, out of which 43 have been treated and discharged and 22 others are responding to treatment.

However, normalcy has been restored by combined security forces and patrols are being intensified within and outside the town. Investigation is in progress,”
