SCOAN BUILDING COLLAPSE: 40 DEATHS, 130 OTHERS RESCUED, NEMA.



    The  national Emergency Management agency has confirmed the number of deaths from the building collapse at SCOAN has risen to 40 while 130 persons was also rescued.

         The Public Relations Officer of NEMA, Mr Ibrahim Farinloye, confirmed this in a telephone interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos.

His words
 "The continued rescue exercise has increased the number of dead persons from 17 to 40.80 per cent of people rescued from the collapse building at Synagogue Church of All Nations, Ikotun, Lagos, were women.two female children, aged four and eight years, were among those rescued from the collapse building.
