A soldier with the 3 Battalion, Effurun, Delta state,Nigeria has been arrested and detained by his command for disciplinary actions.
The soldier violated the code of conduct ethics when he forcefully detained a Pastor at checkpoint, and performed an emergency hair cut on his hair with a pair of scissors.
He said he had no option than to adhere to the security operative's orders as he had a gun on him which he threatened to use use on him if he dare resist him.
The victim a pastor and the General Overseer of Tower of Faith Ministry was travelling in a chattered tricycle (Keke) along Alegbor Road, Effurun, when the soldier stoped them, oredered him out, brought out a pair of scissors which he used to shave off the his hair.
Pastor Omas, reported the incident to the Warri Correspondent Chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalists to seek for redress.
He said,
“I was driving in my SUV, but due to the traffic situation, I boarded a tricycle. The soldiers stopped our tricycle as we were coming from Alegbor, forcibly seated me on the ground as one of them pulled a scissors and stroke three ugly cuts on my hair, saying my hair style violates their rules.”
