The soldiers were found guilty of insubordination and attempt to kill their erstwhile General Officer Commanding (GOC) 7 Division, Maj.-Gen. Ahmed Mohammed, by shooting at his official car but thank God he escaped into his bullet-proof car.
The soldiers had it loosed when they discovered the lifeless bodies of their colleagues lying along the bush part apparently because of the ambush suffered in the hands of the terrorist sect, Boko Haram.  There has allegations and counter allegations of sabotage within the ranks and files of the military division fighting the insurgence in the north-east zone of Nigeria.
The military panel are made up of,
1.       Brig-Gen C. C. Okonkwo (president),

After listening to the plea for leniency by lawyers to the soldiers asking the court to temper justice with mercy, the court martial passed various sentences on the soldiers at about 2:02am .

Each of the soldiers were sentenced to life imprisonment for count one, and death sentence by firing squad for count two. Am shivering already.
Some soldiers who survived the attack accused the military hierarchy in the division of high-handedness and insensitive to their plight.

The soldiers had requested for permission to take another route to return to Maiduguri the capital city but the request was turned down which resulted in the ambush.
God please come and help us!
