Imagine you send a text message out of love, curiousity, remembrance or whatever it may be to your Dead Grand Mother using her phone number when she was alive, Knowing full well she was buried with her mobile phone and sim card altogether because she loved her phone. And the next day she replied your text message and said
"Am watching over you and it's all going to get better, Just push through"
This was the case of Sheri Emerson's family sent a text message to her grandmother, Lesley, who was buried with her mobile phone because of her love of texting.
According to sheri Emerson..... She sent a text message to her grand mum, but the next day she received a reply saying: ‘I’m watching over you, you’ll get through this’ and ‘You’ll be all right’.
However, rather than being the ghost of Lesley, it turned out that O2 had given the number to another customer after it wasn’t used for three years.
When she got a reply, Sheri called the number and the person who answered confessed.
Sheri, a care worker from South Shields, said: ‘I felt sick when I read it, I was in shock, I didn't know what to think.
‘I’d sent a message on Wednesday night telling her about family life and then I got the reply on Thursday.
‘Obviously we know that nan wasn’t going to ever reply, it was just something we did as a comfort for ourselves, because she loved to text‘So you can imagine what I was thinking seeing a message flash up from her.’
02 confirmed that Lesley’s number was sold on to phone company giffgaff.
