The Real Passengers of Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor's Plane that Conveyed $9.3million Revealed.

It actually seems some personalities were falsely accused of masterminding and involving in the $9.3million arms deal that was seized and stopped in South Africa.
People like Asari Dokubo was accused of being one of those in the said plane seized in South Africa.

Nicholas Ibekwe, "our brave" reporter has the story told like this..... A private jet owned by President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor that conveyed $9.3 million cash from Nigeria to South Africa for an arms deal between the two countries, had Nigerian crew members, and passengers from Israel and Austria, new documents obtained by PREMIUM TIMES in Johannesburg have shown. Ayo Oritsejafor
There were three Nigerians aboard the plane, the documents show.

PREMIUM TIMES obtained the manifest of the jet that transported the huge sum, and has confirmed the identities of the passengers and
crew who delivered the controversial package.
South Africa seized the money early September, accusing the Nigerian government of violating its laws regulating the transfer of cash.

Another payment by the Nigerian government for arms to combat the extremist Boko Haram sect, was also confiscated. The second transfer, totaling $5.7 million, was wired through the banks.
The South African ambassador to Nigeria was later quoted as saying the money had been returned to Nigeria, a claim that has yet to be
verified.

Details of the first transaction, revealed by a South African newspaper, City Press, said an
Israeli and two Nigerians were aboard the airplane that transported the sum to Lanseria airport in South Africa.
The first tranche of the money was conveyed to South Africa on September 5 in two plastic bag
suitcases and two hand luggage aboard an airplane belonging to Ayo Oritsejafor, the chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria,
CAN. While the Nigerian government confirmed the transactions, it denied violating any foreign law.

The government also refused to provide the names of those aboard the airplane.
In its report, widely quoted in the Nigerian media, City Press said the Israeli passenger, Eyal Mesika, had the key to the combination lock of
the suitcases. The paper also said two Nigerian passengers were aboard the plane. It quoted South African law enforcement officials.

The report however did not reveal the identities of the Nigerians, and South African officials also declined to provide those details to PREMIUM
TIMES when contacted from Nigeria by telephone.
In an investigation that involved visiting South Africa, PREMIUM TIMES has obtained documents showing details of the transaction,
including the flight manifest of the airplane.

The listing shows that beside Mr. Mesika, the only Nigerians on board the aircraft were crew members.
The other two passengers who conveyed the cash were Austrians, the manifest shows.

The two Austrians are named, R. Wolfgang and M. Michael.
The flight crew members of the Project Eagle Air jet with flight number: N808HE were Ojongbede
R.T (captain), Fejoku U, (flight officer) and George E.E (flight attendant).
The listing contradicts reports that the other passengers were Nigerians, a claim that set off
an intense controversy after the All Progressives Congress, APC, accused a former militant leader,
Dokubo Asari, of being one of those aboard the plane.

The APC relied on unverified reports by some news websites [not PREMIUM TIMES] in making the false claim.
Mr. Asari denied the allegation and threatened legal action against Lai Mohammed, the spokesperson of the APC.

In an interview with PREMIUM TIMES at the time, Mr. Asari threatened to physically assault
Mr. Mohammed if he failed to get justice in the courts.
“After all the South Africa People have given the names of people on the plane and if by next week we go to court and the court is being manipulated not to give me justice, I will resort to self-help,” he said.

“I have the capacity to resort to self-help. I will not give anybody any apology because if a man has mouth to malign me then I can use what I have to fight for myself.”

APC Ask Jonathan to explain Asari Dokubo's involvement in US$9.3million Arm's deal

Nigerian opposition party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has in a statement asked President Goodluck Jonathan to explain to Nigerians the connection between Asari Dokubo and the illegal US$9.3million seized in South Africa.

In a statement issued in Abuja on
Wednesday 8th October by the National Publicity
Secretary of the party Lai Mohammed, the party asked the Jonathan led Federal government to explain to the nation the motive behind the use of Asari to purchase arms.

The statement reads ............

Since the federal government has taken ownership of the funds by saying the National Security Adviser, NSA, Sambo Dasuki, issued the end-user certificate for the arms purchase, it stands to reason that the same government will know the involvement of all those aboard the plane.
It said, therefore, that the federal
government has a lot of questions to
answer on the whole deal, including who was involved in procuring the arms and for the purpose the arms were meant to serve.

APC said the questions become pertinent because even the NSA, who issued the end-user agreement for the purchase, does not and cannot purchase arms for any of the armed services. The Service
Chiefs have separate budgets from the NSA for arms purchase.
”Under our Constitution, the NSA is an adviser and has no executive powers to deploy troops from any of the services or purchase arms for them. That the arms purported to be purchased from South Africa were ordered from the office of the NSA is nothing but a mere fabrication, and raises serious questions about the motive for the purchase.
”Nigerians will therefore like to know on whose behalf Asari Dokubo was
purchasing arms. This is very crucial because Asari Dokubo has been threatening that Nigeria will not know peace if his benefactor, President Jonathan, is not re-elected.
Therefore, Nigerians will like to know whether he has started stockpiling arms to make his threat a reality, since elections are due
in a few months’ time.
”If these arms are meant to fight
insurgency, as the government has
claimed, what is Asari Dokubo’s business purchasing arms for the Nigerian military, if indeed they were for the military? Does it not occur to the Nigerian government that this man who once took arms against the state may not have jettisoned his sinister plan against the same state? Which country will ever
allow a man who once carried arms
against the state to now be purchasing arms for the same state?
Even if it is true that he is purchasing the arms for the state, what prevents him from also using the opportunity to purchase arms for his own sinister motive? Could this be why Asari Dokubo has been talking publicly and confidently, without official censure, that President Jonathan must be re-
elected or Nigeria will not know peace again?” the party queried.

”In our Press Release on Tuesday, we again asked President Jonathan to come clean on the US$9.3 million and US$5.7 million deals. We also asked him to tell Nigerians the identity of the two Nigerians who were on the plane that illegally ferried money to South Africa.

Now that the Nigerians are known, and they are the President’s men, the story has taken a new dimension,”
Since those who claim to be
fighting for Nigeria’s unity may actually be the ones working against it, since those who lay claim to patriotism may actually be any but patriotic, it is more urgent now, than ever, for the National Assembly to take these cash-for-arms deals seriously, instead of dismissing the concerns of Nigerians on the basis of some rules as the House of Representatives has glibly done.

The party commend the media for keeping the story alive and for working hard to unearth the identity of the Nigerians aboard the ill-fated plane that illegally flew money into another country in violation of that country’s laws and all known tenets of decency.
We call on the media, in pursuance of its constitutional role of a watchdog, not to relent in exposing the circumstances surrounding the cash-for-arms deals, which have seriously embarrassed Nigeria in the comity of nations and which have the potential to threaten Nigeria’s unity, going by the latest revelations.

Progressives Congress (APC)

Synagogue Collapse: TB Joshua offers help to South Africa victims

Prophet TB Joshua has been reported offering succor to the families of victims of the church's guest house building collapse to ameliorate their sufferings even as many say that alone is not enough

General Overseer of the Synagogue Church of All of Nations (SCOAN) in the Ikotun area of Lagos, Temitope Balogun Joshua, on whose premises a collapsed six-storey building on September 12 killed about 80 South Africans in addition to some Nigerians, has sent some ‘relief’ materials to the South African victims. The South African ‘Sunday Times’ newspaper reported on
Sunday that Joshua has sent teams of his ‘evangelists’ across South Africa to drop off R5,000 (about N75,000), maize meal and anointed water to family members of those killed in church guesthouse collapse.
Lagos State Government is to begin a probe into the circumstances
surrounding the collapse of the building on October 13. According to the Sunday Times report, several families said they had been presented with gifts on behalf
of Joshua.
    But not all were impressed,
the newspaper also reported.
Thanduxolo Doro, who lost his sister,
Vathiswa Madikiza, in the tragedy said since his recent call for a class-action lawsuit against Joshua, representatives of the church had repeatedly tried to set up a meeting with him.

“They met with my family at home,
offering condolences, and gave them
R5,000. I told them: ‘Whatever you are offering, it can never compare with the life of my sister,’” said Doro. Madikiza had paid R18,000 (about N270,000) to travel from South Africa to Lagos to visit the church.

So far, the newspaper reported that five families have indicated they will join Doro in his bid to take legal action against the church and that two legal firms have offered their services.

Kirsten Nematandani, a former
President of the South African Football Association and a “fellow” of the Synagogue Church of All of Nations, confirmed that several teams had visited each affected family.
“In fact this is the second round of visits,” he said. “We are assisting the families with whatever they need, school fees, rent, groceries and
toiletries. The families are so grateful for the help, we take the message from the man of God that they must pray with him for the loss of their loved ones. We give them the anointed water to strengthen them.”

Nematandani assured that the
church would continue to support the families.
The son of another woman who died in the building collapse said his family received two bags of groceries as well as the cash. “It is the thought that counts.

I know it’s not much but we took the
money.” Mxolisi Catazo, whose wife,
Amanda Fina, was among the 80 South Africans who died in the building collapse, said: “The church people did come to see me on Monday and they said I must call them when I need help with the funeral. They didn’t give me any
money.”
A woman who has been travelling with other church representatives told the newspaper: “This is what the church is about. It’s about giving. We are offering families counselling, prayer and practical assistance.” The woman, who
asked not to be named, said the church’s broadcast arm, Emmanuel TV – which is based in Rivonia in northern Johannesburg – was co-ordinating the relief teams. The media has been so negative about the church and all the church has been doing is helping people.

That is our ministry,” she said.
The woman said families were given
food hampers and cash with the promise of more money in the future. South African officials said on Friday that the Nigerian authorities had completed post
mortems on the 116 people killed. DNA material had been collected and would be taken to a forensic laboratory for comparison, a statement from the South African Government Communication and
Information System said.

Lagos State Government has said the coroner it inaugurated to probe the circumstances surrounding the collapse will begin sitting on October 13. This was contained in a statement by the state Ministry of Justice on Friday.
